Empire Bakery Commissary opened in Roanoke, Virginia in 1997 and has been a fixture in the Rocky Mount, Virginia community since relocating in 2010. The bakery specializes in creating custom, hand-decorated cakes and desserts for major retailers. The company broke ground on a new expansion to their facility in 2019 and business has been growing exponentially. With over 200 employees, the company continues to experience rapid growth and plans for further expansion.
